Who knew that there was a girly-girl hiding within me? Don't get me wrong --I've always had an appreciation for pretty little things, make up, pretty nails, etc. I just never really seemed to get the hang of letting myself enjoy them.
I've been learning new tricks for my eye-makeup and actually wearing it in public, rather than washing it all off before I re-do it with what I'm comfortable with, or just not trying anything new at all. This is a big step for me!
Another thing I've recently fell in love with is almond shaped nails! I've had acrylics done before, but they've always been the square shape. I also used to shy away from any fancy nail art other than the typical french tip. I still love a simple french tip, and I will likely have it again in the near future but I found a new spot and I started getting gels in stead of acrylic! It's so crazy to me that there aren't any plastic tips involved with gel. There's no point of separation from your real nail, and they can be long too! I usually ask them to make my nails super short, but I'm finding a bit of length okay with the almond shape!
